Creation of links to bookmarks
- References to pre-defined bookmarks are created using the standard Word hyperlink functions. The syntax is different depending on whether the reference is within the same document, the same theme or the whole course. Calls can also be made to specific lessons. The same syntax is also used to create external references to other types of documents (PDF files for example) or to other web sites. It is finally also used to create glossary lookups. The behavior of the link is also different depending on the function of the link used. The following table lists all options and describes the corresponding behavior.
Link Type | Method of creation | Behavior |
Internal (same Word file) |
[Insert][Hyperlink] (Bookmark) {target bookmark} |
Opens in the same window using the #-syntax of HTML |

[Insert][Hyperlink] (Address) L_{target bookmark} | Opens in a new window |
File | [Insert][Hyperlink] (Address) file_{file name} | Opens in a new window |
Global | [Insert][Hyperlink] (Address) L_{target bookmark} | Opens in a new window |
